On 06 February 2026, artist Sandatharaka Abeysinghe donated one of his paintings to the Heywood Permanent Art Museum, a newly established institutional collection affiliated with the Faculty of Visual Arts at the University of the Visual & Performing Arts (UVPA), Colombo 07.
This museum serves as a permanent archive dedicated to preserving and exhibiting significant artworks connected to the university and its artistic community. The donated painting now forms part of this institutional collection and stands as a testament to Abeysinghe’s ongoing artistic practice and his enduring relationship with the university where his artistic journey was shaped.
The work is preserved in the museum as part of its mission to document and celebrate contemporary artistic contributions associated with the Faculty of Visual Arts.
